I’m a cognitive psychologist specializing in the development of intelligence, creativity, and personality. I apply a variety of perspectives to come to a richer understanding and appreciation of all kinds of minds and ways of achieving greatness.
I’m Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychology at Barnard College and Co-founder of The Creativity Post, a nonprofit web platform that features quality content on creativity, innovation and imagination. I also write the blog Beautiful Minds for Psychology Today, and am a contributing writer for Scientific American, Harvard Business Review, and Huffington Post.
I am the recipient of the 2011 Daniel E. Berlyne Award from Division 10 of the American Psychological Association for for outstanding research by a junior scholar on the psychology of aesthetics, creativity, and the arts.
